Not much was altered from this rough sketch to the finished version of the drawing. The Mountain Dew bottle was executed with more accuracy and I recall that the denim skirt was very tedious to complete. I did, however, enjoy rendering the details in the face and hands of this subject. I also took great care in capturing the elastic lean of a woman unburdened by the chains of modesty. At first I thought Brenda might be a common drug-addicted street prostitute, but upon further reflection I felt that this was a slightly limited view. To my surprise, I have heard that such specimens are readily available on "Girls Gone Wild" internet sites and in the many celebrity magazines that crowd the grocery store newsstands. In particular, I am told that many starlets access a more glamorous stylization of this persona.
