I use both traditional (film) and digital formats in my photography. My portraits are not formal studio shots. They are candid, not overly posed and, as such, tend to have a more honest, naturalistic look. I always prefer shooting in available light situations. I find that this method often produces the most compelling images because the subjects are not as self-conscious or intimidated as they might be in a studio setting.
